چکیده

Bioethanol produced from lignocellulose is a renewable energy substitute for traditional fossil fuels. Poplar wood as forest waste popular in bioethanol production. Nonetheless, the complex structure of leads to low reducing sugar and ethanol yields. Thus, pretreatment necessary promote enzymatic hydrolysis. Deep eutectic solvents (DESs) have good dissolution capacity, vapor pressure, simple synthesis procedure, cost toxicity. More more researchers begun paying attention application DESs pretreatment. In this work, poplar was pretreated using series basic based on diol. The effects DES species, basicity solvents, temperature time effectiveness enzyme hydrolysis were investigated, characterization analysis (Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction scanning electron microscopy) carried out reveal mechanism. best effect obtained K: 1, 2-PG, which removed 89.2% 71.6% lignin hemicellulose, respectively, while preserving 97.5% cellulose at 130 °C 7 h. This enhanced yield 82.5% relative that raw sample (3.3%) after 72 h results demonstrated hemicellulose removed. Therefore, 2-PG promising solvent pretreatment, could improve industrial production bioethanol.

Functionalization of graphene using deep eutectic solvents

Deep eutectic solvents (DESs) have received attention in various applications because of their distinctive properties. In this work, DESs were used as functionalizing agents for graphene due to their potential to introduce new functional groups and cause other surface modifications. Eighteen different types of ammonium- and phosphonium-salt-based DESs were prepared and characterized by FTIR. Th...

Ionic Liquid Pretreatment and Enzymatic Hydrolysis of Wood Biomass

Pretreatment of lignocellulosic biomass materials from poplar, acacia, oak, and fir with different ionic liquids (ILs) containing 1-alkyl-3-methyl-imidazolium cations and various anions has been carried out. The dissolved cellulose from biomass was precipitated by adding anti-solvents into the solution and vigorous stirring. Commercial cellulases Celluclast 1.5L and Accelerase 1000 have been us...

Aqueous Ionic Liquids and Deep Eutectic Solvents for Cellulosic Biomass Pretreatment and Saccharification.

Ionic liquids (ILs) have proven effective solvents for pretreating lignocellulose, leading to the fast saccharification of cellulose and hemicellulose. However, the high current cost of most ILs remains a major barrier to commercializing this recent approach at a practical scale. As a strategic detour, aqueous solutions of ILs are also being explored as less costly alternatives to neat ILs for ...
